This Got Personal

I'm a maker, not a corporation. This is the story of why I started creating brutally honest skincare.

It started after my third child was born. My body was falling apart. I’d pass out randomly, I couldn't walk, and I spent my weeks in emergency rooms with no answers. Finally, a doctor looked at me and knew. My thyroid levels were literally off the charts.

I spent nights in tears, wishing I could live to see my kids grow up. After a thyroid cancer diagnosis in 2018, I started asking hard questions. When your body is failing you, you look at everything differently—especially what you’re putting in it and on it.

That’s when I started to see it everywhere. Titanium dioxide in soap just to make it white? Formaldehyde-releasing preservatives in shampoo? I was done. I didn't want that stuff on my body or absorbed through my skin, and I certainly didn't want it anywhere near my kids.

So, I decided to do something about it. I cleared out my garage, installed a commercial air purifier, and got to work creating products that are safe, brutally effective, and completely free from crap.

I’m driven by moral obligation, not profit margins.

Here’s a hard truth: most big corporations are legally built to serve their shareholders, not you. It's a system designed to maximize wealth, which often means cutting corners on ingredients to save a buck. They're not bad people; they're just silly goose's playing by a different set of rules.

I run my business differently. I'm a mom of 5, a friend who values loyalty, an animal lover, and someone who's not afraid to be direct. I surround myself with people who believe in doing no harm, and I run my business the exact same way. My only obligation is to you.

Welcome to Archwood. I'm so glad you're here.
