This Got Personal.

This is the story of why I started creating brutally honest skincare.

It started after my third child was born. My body was falling apart. I’d pass out randomly, I couldn't walk, and I spent my weeks in emergency rooms, specialists offices and doctors offices with no answers. Finally, a family doctor looked at me and knew to check my thyroid. My thyroid levels and liver counts were literally off the charts and unable to be accurately read. It was a long time of heart monitors, radiation, fear and deciding how I was going to heal my body.

After my diagnosis in 2018, I started asking hard questions. When your body is failing you, you look at everything differently—especially what you’re putting in it and on it and roughly 60% of what you put ON it, goes IN it.

That’s when I started to see it everywhere because I was paying attention. Titanium dioxide in soap just to make it white? Formaldehyde-releasing preservatives in shampoo and body wash? I was done and I was pissed. I didn't want that stuff on my body or absorbed through my skin, and I certainly didn't want it anywhere near my kids.

I decided to do something about American standards in cosmetics, so I cleared out my garage, installed a commercial air purifier, blew the dust off of some old chemistry books to reacquaint myself and got to work creating products that are safe, effective, and completely free from crap.

I had my first wholesale order to deliver the day my business license came in the mail and I made it into my first major retailer within a year of existing as a business. I have common sense, morals and integrity and I'm so-over the businesses who don't.

Driven by moral obligation, not profit margins.

Here’s a hard truth: most big corporations are legally built to serve their shareholders, not you. It's a system designed to maximize wealth called Shareholder Primacy, which means cutting corners on ingredients to maximize shareholder profit. It's absolutely bananas.

I run my business differently. I'm a mom of 5, a friend who values loyalty, an animal lover, and someone who's not afraid to be direct. I surround myself with people who believe in doing no harm, and I run my business the exact same way. My only obligation is to you.
